Interesting news from London this morning. Ryan Hall ran an impressive 2:06:17 in the London Marathon making him the second fastest American marathoner of all time. Hall, who recently won the US Olympic trials with a 2:09, is leading the revival of competitive American marathoning and giving us hope for an American gold in Beijing.
Despite his impressive race, however, Hall finished 5th at London. While American's are finally getting their act together, the rest of the world is obviously running very fast. If you are a runner, or running fan, and you aren't paying attention to world of professional marathons I highly recommend you start.

That is really cool. I didn't know that he was running a race in London. I actually saw him win the Olympic Trails back in November in Central Park, NYC. It was a freezing cold day and he was running unbelievable. I couldn't believe that he was dropping 4:40 splits like it was a walk in the park.
It should be a good Olympic Marathon
